ABOUT ANUPAM NISCHAL BSC PGCE

I am a Mathematics specialist with over twenty years of teaching and tutoring experience, and a serving examiner for Edexcel (UK and International), AQA, OCR, OCR MEI and Cambridge International. I retired as Head of Mathematics at a Berkshire grammar school in 2019, having taught across four schools over fifteen years. I now tutor full-time under the name Zodiac Maths, working with students online worldwide and in person from Warfield, Berkshire. My students span KS3 through to degree level, across the British and international curricula, with a growing network of families across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. The examiner work is, in honesty, one of the most useful things I bring to my students. I know how each board's papers are marked, where candidates lose marks, and how to convert a strong understanding of the content into a strong grade in the room. I specialise in: GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics International A-Level (Edexcel and Cambridge) and the IB Diploma Oxbridge and Russell Group preparation (STEP, MAT, TMUA) Degree-level Mathematics High-stakes GCSE recovery and A* A-Level outcomes I have been teaching online since 2008, long before it was the norm, and run a four-screen setup with collaborative GoodNotes notebooks that works as well as in-person teaching for most students, and across time zones for international families. Across many thousands of students, my record includes students placed at the most selective universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL and LSE; a steady stream of students supported into medical school; numerous students lifted by three or four grades; and a sustained record of grade 8 and 9 outcomes at GCSE and IGCSE, and A and A* at A-Level.
