I am a Mathematics specialist with over twenty years of teaching and tutoring experience, and a serving examiner for Edexcel (UK and International), AQA, OCR, OCR MEI and Cambridge International. I retired as Head of Mathematics at a Berkshire grammar school in 2019, having taught across four schools over fifteen years. I now tutor full-time under the name Zodiac Maths, working with students online worldwide and in person from Warfield, Berkshire. My students span KS3 through to degree level, across the British and international curricula, with a growing network of families across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. The examiner work is, in honesty, one of the most useful things I bring to my students. I know how each board's papers are marked, where candidates lose marks, and how to convert a strong understanding of the content into a strong grade in the room. Across many thousands of students, my record includes students placed at the most selective universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL and LSE; a steady stream of students supported into medical school; numerous students lifted by three or four grades; and a sustained record of grade 8 and 9 outcomes at GCSE and IGCSE, and A and A* at A-Level.
