ABOUT ANU KRISHNA RAJAMOHAN

I graduated in Master of Computer Science from North Carolina State University in Dec. 2015.I love learning new languages and frameworks. I\'m truly passionate about working in the big data analytics space.Skills:Languages: Java, C, Python, R, ABAP, Oracle SQLTechnology/Tools: Spark, Burp, Wireshark, Perforce, Github.Areas of Interest/Expertise: Machine Learning, Data Structures and algorithm analysis, Data ScienceWhat I’ve worked on:I enjoyed working on Spark which is a framework for large scale data processing that is much faster and easier than the Hadoop MapReduce. I have hands on experience working with the data mining concepts such as data preprocessing, model building and evaluation, classifiers such as decision trees, kNN, k-Means etc.Relevant Projects:The projects include implementing a Bayesian Regression Model in Python to predict the future price variations in Bitcoin based on the paper titled: Bayesian Regression and Bitcoin. The model was run in a distributed manner leveraging the speed and scalability of the Spark framework. As part of my Independent Research, I developed a Music Recommendation System in Spark which would recommend artists to a user based on his/her listening history. It uses collaborating filtering technique and employs alternating least squares algorithm to provide these recommendations. The data mining course at college gave me an opportunity to build classifiers in R to predict the sentiment of a new article and categorize it into subcategories such as privacy leak, data sharing, etc. I also found the top hitters which determine the sentiment of an article and also determine the subcategory in which the news article belongs to.What I’m looking to do next:I love working with machine learning algorithms, training and evaluating models, and implementing them over a distributed framework. I would like to leverage the skills learned to delve further into the unexplored territories in the big data space.
