ABOUT ANUJ PATIL
Hello, and welcome to my LinkedIn profile! I am a dedicated GIS Data Scientist and GTFS Data Engineer, with a Masterβs degree in Applied Data Science from Clarkson University, New York. My journey in the data realm began with a year of experience as a data analyst, where I honed my skills in data management and analysis.Currently, I am serving as a GIS Data Scientist at VTC and a GTFS Data Engineer & Analyst with the St. Lawrence Public Transit Department, NY. I am at the forefront of innovating transit optimization platforms. By employing advanced neural networks and comprehensive geospatial analytics, I am enhancing the efficiency of public transit systems. My work involves streamlining data flow through robust ETL pipelines and improving network efficiency by expertly manipulating GTFS data and employing hexagonal spatial indexing.Previously, as a C3G intern at Clarkson University, I contributed to various innovative solutions in planning, engineering, and construction domains. This experience was enriched by my involvement in the A2A Wildlife Connectivity and Roadkill Analysis Study. In this project, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of wildlife-road interactions in the Algonquin to Adirondacks region, uncovering significant insights for biodiversity conservation.Alongside my internships, I gained hands-on experience in data science research as a part-time Graduate Assistant and Research Lab Assistant. My passion for data science was also complemented by my role as the Secretary-Treasurer for the Friends of India Association at Clarkson University, where I engaged with a diverse community, fostered inclusivity, and developed leadership skills. My passion lies in leveraging data to drive informed decisions and contribute positively to society. I am eager to explore new opportunities in the field of data science, especially those that allow me to make a meaningful impact.Feel free to connect with me for collaborations, insights, or discussions related to GIS and data science. I look forward to engaging in enriching conversations and growing my professional network!
