About Anuj Bhalla

Ingrained with the motto -\'Service before Self\', I have always believed in creating a powerful impact through purposeful leadership. As a second-generation Armed Forces Officer, I have lived this motto throughout my life, first through my father’s legacy in the Indian Air Force and later forging my own, through my decade long service in the Indian Navy. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Marine Engineering, I served as a specialised Marine Engineering Officer entrusted with the critical responsibility of maintaining and enhancing the battle-worthiness of frontline naval warships. My role demanded in-depth technical expertise in the construction, design, and functioning of warships. I led large teams through high-complexity projects and operations, ensuring the seamless performance of propulsion systems, power generation units, and other vital auxiliary systems which are the heartbeat of combat vessels. My experiences of having sailed for more than 1200 days in challenging seas and having participated in several key military operations & other diplomatic international deployments refined my ability to lead under pressure, make decisive calls in VUCA environments, and deliver results with precision. In June 2023, I made the transition to the corporate world by joining J.P. Morgan Chase, where I currently lead and coach high-performing teams while collaborating across cross-functional global units and driving delivery on complex initiatives with a strong focus on execution, communication and strategic alignment. As a firm believer of continuous growth who loves embracing change by challenging the ‘Status Quo’, I’ve been accepted into the full-time MBA program at HEC Paris, commencing in September 2025 and I look forward to combining my 12 years of real-world, leadership-intensive technical expertise with a world-class business education to drive strategic transformation and solve complex challenges in the global corporate arena.
