ABOUT ANUJ SRIVASTAVA

I work at the intersection of political sociology, public policy, and governance reform, with a focus on government scale-up, policy advocacy, and influencing decision-making at the national and state levels. Over the past 22+ years, I have worked across the development sector, government systems, and policy advisory spaces, supporting the design, scale, and institutionalisation of large public programs in health, nutrition, agriculture, WASH, urban development, and digital inclusion. A significant part of my work has involved close engagement with ministries and state governments to translate evidence into policy, strengthen public systems, and drive reforms that operate at the population scale.My perspective is shaped by hands-on experience in policy advocacy and system reform—including work on the National Urban Health Mission, statewide ambulance system reform, biofortification mainstreaming, and digital platforms for programme monitoring and accountability. This grounding allows me to analyse politics not just as electoral competition but as the outcome of institutional choices, governance capacity, and service delivery realities.My analytical work focuses on how governance outcomes shape political behaviour, with particular attention to Dalit and OBC politics, social justice, voter behaviour, and data-driven political strategy.I work with governments, civil society organisations, policy institutions, political actors, and media platforms to support policy influence, system reform, and strategic decision-making—through research, advisory support, writing, and public commentary.If you are interested in policy that scales, governance that delivers, and politics grounded in social reality, I would be glad to connect.
