I am a Chartered Accountant and ACCA (UK) qualified finance professional currently working in IFRS derivatives and financial instruments reporting within the global commodities sector. My responsibilities include valuing and reporting physical forwards, ETD and OTC positions, and carbon credit revaluations in line with IFRS 9. I review month-on-month and year-on-year movements in derivative balances, investigate material variances, and engage with traders and the deals desk to understand the commercial rationale behind hedge structures. I also oversee monthly close activities, broker reconciliations, variation margin netting, and the related disclosure requirements.Earlier in my career, until 2024, I managed group and subsidiary financial reporting—preparing and reviewing 60+ financial statements annually, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with Swiss GAAP FER, IFRS, Singapore FRS, and other local statutory frameworks. This involved close collaboration with teams across Geneva, Montevideo, Athens, and other global offices to meet reporting timelines and deliverables.My experience included evaluating principal–agent assessments under IFRS 15, understanding valuation approaches for unlisted entities in the power and renewables sector, and contributing to financial governance and process improvement initiatives. I was awarded the Accelerator Award in 2022 for leading standalone financial statement reporting and year-end audit delivery.I am driven by accurate, thoughtful financial reporting, strong stakeholder communication, and continuous learning in evolving accounting and regulatory environments.
