ABOUT ANUBHA KUMAR
I am a highly motivated Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from India and an LMCC-certified physician in Canada with over 15 years of hands-on experience in hospital and clinical settings. My expertise spans women’s health, reproductive endocrinology, mental health support along with emotional health maintenence, chronic disease management and lactation counseling, working with diverse patient populations. In recent years, I have developed a strong interest in psychological well-being, recognizing its profound impact on healthcare. This interest grew while addressing mental health concerns in family medicine clinics and counseling perinatal as well as breastfeeding mothers. Over the past decade in Canada, I have immersed myself in the healthcare system through volunteer work in hospitals and pharmacies, as well as hands-on experience as a clinical assistant in Family Medicine, Pediatric, and Ob-Gyn clinics. These roles allowed me to collaborate with leading physicians, observe surgical procedures, and working alongside them, deepening my understanding of Canadian medical practices and keeping me updated with advancements in medicine. My passion for maternal and infant health led me to pursue certification as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) after first qualifying as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist in Canada. I am passionate about teaching and promoting evidence-based research. Additionally, my role as an educator in a Pediatric clinic sparked my interest in research, culminating in a publication in the Canadian Paediatric Society Journal (Paediatrics & Child Health, 2022). I am committed to advancing patient-centered care, contributing to research, and integrating holistic and psychological well-being into my medical practice.
