Currently engaged as clinical scientist, I am working closely with team of AI scientists and data scientists to build an AI model for a solution in Obstetric ultrasound. Some of my functions are-designing the clinical study, writing clinical protocol for the study, taking ownership in setting up of clinical sites for the study, ensuring that the study is in adherence to good clinical practices. I also ensure the study sites are adequately trained according to the designed clinical protocol. Understanding and analyzing data from the required clinical perspective, I support the data scientists from the clinical side as well. With my previous experiences in annotations for various AI projects, I am taking the lead in annotation strategy and plan the annotations needed for the AI algorithm development. I experiment with annotations for various types of data and instrumental in designing a completely comprehensive annotation plan based on the needs of the technical team. I provide regular support to the technical team on clinical queries and actively involve in supporting algorithm development by providing them the clinical inputs. I support the evaluation of algorithms by supporting the design of the evaluation, providing feedback on the performance of the algorithm and support validation studies. I am the clinical India site lead of a multi-geography clinical study.I am also giving clinical inputs on ID submissions to the technical team. Thus using my niche skills in Radiology and Imaging, I contribute for overall development of the AI algorithms from its stage of conception as a clinical study to the final evaluation and deployment of the solution.
