   Mr. Jones is a respected leader, trusted advisor to agency CFOs and other leaders, and an expert authority on federal financial management, process automation, and data analytics. Mr. Jones has nearly 30 years of experience in the complete federal financial management lifecycle, including budget formulation and execution, internal controls, financial statements and reporting, accounting, project management, audit and internal control remediation, regulatory compliance, and financial systems and analytics solutions in the federal sector. Mr. Jones is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Empirical Corporation, guiding the overall corporate vision and strategy for the company. Mr. Jones overseas the delivery of services and solutions for Empirical’s customers and has been actively involved in expanding the company’s technical capabilities and solutions to help federal financial and program offices achieve better outcomes, drive transformational change, and improve efficiencies.Mr. Jones is actively involved in Empirical’s customer engagements, providing on-going expertise, guidance, and consultation to address the most complex financial, modernization and data management requirements. With extensive federal financial management and technical expertise, Mr. Jones leads customer reporting and regulatory compliance programs, including OMB A-136 financial reporting, OMB A-11 budget execution, and A-123 Internal Control, due to his in-depth knowledge of GAAP, USSGL and other federal regulatory requirements. Mr. Jones has helped federal leaders achieve unqualified opinions on their agency and/or bureau level audits, mitigate internal control and material weaknesses, enhance financial operations, and gain powerful data insight to make confident decisions.Mr. Jones is a certified public accountant (CPA) and holds a TS/SCI clearance. He is an active member of the Association of Government Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
