In my current role I govern the execution of Quality and Manufacturing Engineering activities in the Turbines External Supply Chain (Core, Cast and Alloy) to assure the development, maintainance and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, deliver rate and leadtime (SQCD). Assess the capability of manufacturing suppliers and support source selection and approval in the supply chain. Main Accountabilities: • Define, implement and manage the Rolls-Royce quality requirements for suppliers across the world based on the aerospace industry standard (SABRe, APQP, FAI,PPAP,…). • Support the execution of APQP and sign PPAP and FAI reports before shipment. • Lead Production Process and Product Verification Audit (PPA). • Manage root cause analysis and corrective action plans against non-conformances raised during supplier audits or by production. • Promote a culture of zero defects within the external chain. Work with the supplier to reduce risk and drive product Right First Time. • Plan and manage activities including schedule, resources and costs, gaining buy-off and communicating current status to relevant stakeholders. Ensure issues and risks are resolved to meet project timescales. • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. Ensure requirements are understood, coach suppliers when required to deliver a successful outcome in line with the requirements and commitments to Rolls-Royce.
