I am physician scientist with a passion to develop new medicines for all patients with unmet needs. As an academic, I trained in internal medicine, rheumatology and immunology, and published original research on innate immunity, bone biology and autoimmunity. Since 2015, I have been leading cross functional industry R&D teams from candidate selection through human proof of concept trials in infectious and metabolic diseases, inflammation, and vaccines. I am an ardent believer that well conducted early phase patient studies leveraging mechanistic biomarkers is the most efficient way to bring the best medicines to market. Linking biology to outcomes through mechanism of action is my guiding light to drug development success.
