ABOUT ANTONIO GAZZERI

I work at Microsoft because I get to help creating tangible impact for the world where we all live. A bit more about my background: With over 25 years of professional experience in the IT industry, I have built my technical background across a wide set of expertise areas, ranging from networking to software development, from infrastructure to project management. With a passion for IT dating back to the ‘80s, I started my professional career in 1996 as a freelancer, and then moved to Microsoft Services in 2001 as a Consultant. I gained significant experience as a technical project manager, and moved on to the Architect role in 2005. I worked as an Architect in the Italian subsidiary until 2008, and then moved to Western Europe as an Architect in the Complex Delivery team. In that position, I helped the organization sell and deliver the most complex engagements in the region to enterprise customers, with a focus on Collaboration, Web and Enterprise Content Management, Enterprise Search and Enterprise Project Management workloads. In August 2010 I moved to the Office 365 Centre of Excellence for EMEA Services, still as an Architect, supporting the pre-sales and delivery efforts for the largest Office 365 deals across the region. In May 2015 I took the responsibility of the technical team within the Office 365 Global Practice for EMEA. In July 2016 I took responsibility of the Architects team for the Apps domain in EMEA, which then became the Azure Cloud & AI domain. In October 2021 after 20 years in Microsoft Consulting I moved to Azure Global Engineering as Country Engineering Lead for the upcoming cloud region in Italy. I\'m currently working as Principal Program Manager in the Microsoft Cloud for Sovereignty team, focused on customers and partners adoption.
