About Antonio Gomez
My professional career started as an engineer at Boeing and then Hewlett-Packard, where I worked with the most talented engineers and business savvy leaders. Together, we researched and invented new technologies, and brought to market successful products and solutions, and received 10 U.S. patents.I have learned the importance of understanding the needs of customers and translating those needs into solutions that create value for all stakeholders. This is one reason why, after years in high tech, I joined the health care and non-profit sector. I am a student of leadership. People will exceed expectations when inspired and empowered by steady and kind leaders. I can set a vision, inspire, empower and develop people, create structures, and identify solutions based on assessment of situations using a 360-degree perspective.As a member of the Providence Oregon Population/Community Health Team, we aim to create healthier communities by leveraging existing community strengths and partnerships, and strategically investing community benefits into the communities Providence serves.I enjoy meeting people, learning about what drives and inspires them, and listening to their life stories. When I am not working, I enjoy reading good books, running, and spending time with family, community and our small Lhasa Apso dog named Memo.

Program Management: Lead and manager of Community Health Promotion team, including a group of 100+ volunteer-based Promotores de Salud (Community Health Promoters) serving historically underserved populations and communities. Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP): Lead the development of the CHNA and CHIP for one of Providence Oregon hospitals, in partnership with local organizations and the Hospital\'s Leadership and Advisory Council.3. Grant Management and Partnership Building: Manage Providence Community Benefit grants for Yamhill County, Oregon, and key partnership grants within the Portland-metro area, using Wizehive, our team’s grant management platform.
