ABOUT ANTONIO TOSCANO

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Messina, where he also completed his specialization in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. He further enriched his training with a Level II Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management.From 2010 to 2023, he worked in clinical practice, providing anesthesia across multiple surgical specialties and gaining extensive experience in cardiac anesthesia and cardiac intensive care.Since 2023, he has served as Head of the Postoperative Intensive Care Unit and Abdominal Organ Transplant Program at Molinette Hospital in Turin.Training tutor for ultrasound-guided blocks and mechanical circulatory support during courses and conferences. Lecturer in anesthesia and intensive care at University of Turin, Italy.Dr. Toscano is an active member of the Società Italiana di Anestesia Analgesia Rianimazione e Terapia Intensiva (SIAARTI), the european society of regional anaesthesia pain therapy (ESRA) and the Italian Association of Cardiothoracic Anaestesiologists (ITACTA).He is the organizer of traveling courses on thoracic and abdominal wall blocks for the scientific societies ITACTA and ESRA Italy. Author of numerous international scientific publications in peer-review journals, he has also co-authored book chapters in specialist texts on anesthesia and intensive care. His research interests include the ultrasound-guided peripheral and fascial plane blocks, the pathophysiology of shock states, the mechanical circulatory support for advanced heart and lung failure and echocardiography.He also holds an International Level II Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Medicine and Aesthetic Therapy and is the co-founder of Agemedica SRL STP.
