ABOUT ANTONIO BULTRINI

Antonio Bultrini holds a law degree from the University of Rome. He is currently professor of international law and human rights law at the University of Florence. He also lectures, in particular, at the Sant’Anna School in Pisa (Master of Arts in Human Rights and Conflict Management) and at the Institute of Aviation Military Sciences (ISMA) of the Italian Air Force. Since 2020 he is a member of the Committee \"Use of Force: Military Assistance on Request\" of the International Law Association. He formerly served at the Council of Europe for over 13 years. In particular, he was legal officer at the European Court of Human Rights and subsequently co-Secretary of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages. In the latter capacity he organized and carried out a number of fact-finding missions in several European countries with regard to the status and level of protection of linguistic minorities. Antonio Bultrini is the author of numerous publications in the field of human rights protection and of a recent long article concerning foreign interventions in civil wars, published in the Canadian Yearbook of International Law. He contributed to the European Union-funded project F.R.E.E.(Fundamental Rights Education in Europe). He also acts as an advisor on human rights issues and has cooperated with a number of Italian and international NGOs as well as with the Council of Europe.
