ABOUT ANTONIO BUCCHIARONE

Dr. Antonio Bucchiarone is an Associate Professor at the University of L\'Aquila and a Visiting Fellow at the Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK) in Trento. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IMT Lucca (Italy) in July 2008. Since 2004, he has collaborated with the Formal Methods and Tools Group at ISTI-CNR in Pisa (Italy). His Ph.D. thesis focused on dynamic software architecture-based development and analysis techniques for global computing systems. Dr. Bucchiarone’s research primarily concentrates on various aspects of software engineering for adaptive socio-technical systems. Over the past 12 years, he has explored advanced methodologies and techniques for the design, development, and management of motivational socio-technical systems, emphasizing adaptability as a key characteristic. His past and ongoing research includes: User-centric service composition approaches that utilize real-world services to deliver value-added services, composed, contextualized, and customized at runtime for specific situations and user needs. Advanced methodologies for developing large-scale, collective socio-technical systems where adaptations are managed in a decentralized, yet coordinated manner using distributed knowledge. Gamification technologies and tools for creating dynamic and personalized motivational applications within complex socio-technical systems. His research outcomes have been validated in various application areas, including smart cities and communities, education, and logistics
