ABOUT ANTONIO ASCOLESE
As a psychologist, I have gained long-standing experience (more than ten years) in the use of new technologies (web, apps, VR, AR, MR), both from the empirical research perspective and from the applied research perspective, in several fields, such as training, learning, health, awareness raising and marketing. In fact, in my job, I usually try to find the best motivational mechanisms to engage specific users in different activities (mainly devoted to behavioural change), in particular through the power of games (serious games and gamification). As a project manager, I work on several projects, both customer and research ones, at national, European and international level, on this content and these methodologies, where I can be considered an expert. Furthermore, in this field, I maintain relationships with customers, partners, the European Commission, beyond with the technical and graphical teams I coordinate. Finally, I’m professor of the course ‘Media Psychology’, at the Sigmund Freud University, where I teach to my students how to analyse the role of different media with a psychological point of view.
