I had the opportunity to work at Decathlon La Madeleine where I collaborated with over 150 team members, one of the company’s most iconic and profitable flagship stores, which achieved the highest turnover worldwide in 2023 with €64M revenue. Within this dynamic environment, I was part of the Fitness department, among the largest and most active sections of the store. My responsibilities included:• Advising customers on a broad range of fitness products, from machines and accessories to apparel for men, women, and children.• Providing personalized support to help clients choose the right equipment according to their needs and sports goals.• Managing stock availability through daily replenishment, quality checks and product ordering via the professional sales interface, especially during the back-to-sports peak season. Ensuring optimal shelf layout (planogram compliance) to maximize visibility and turnover, while adapting shelf space to stock levels and sales trends.• Receiving and organizing morning deliveries, sorting products by department, and ensuring smooth distribution to the sales floor.• Maintaining an attractive and customer-focused shopping experience through merchandising and daily facing of fitness products.• Collaborating with teammates to ensure operational efficiency and support the store’s strong commercial performance.Through this role, I was able to strengthen my customer service expertise, operational skills and product knowledge during the highly demanding back-to-sports season, where I successfully managed intense activity and demand while contributing to the success of one of the world’s leading Decathlon stores.
