As a Research Assistant, I collaborate closely with investigators and clinicians from Infectious Disease, the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, and the Department of Dentistry to evaluate the acceptability and feasibility of a novel initiative aimed at integrating HIV prevention services and linkage to care across multiple dental sites within the NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) system. My responsibilities include assisting with participant recruitment and screening procedures, educating participants about the study, administering quantitative questionnaires, and collecting data in accordance with study protocols. I also ensure that data and biological samples are collected, transported, and stored in compliance with protocol requirements, and support the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of study findings. In addition to my work in HIV prevention, I help administer the Long COVID Clinic at Columbia, where I assist with patient communication, scheduling, and clinical documentation. I also coordinate the COHORT study, an ongoing longitudinal research project on post-COVID conditions. I am responsible for performing study visits, which includes conducting assessments, managing study timelines, and ensuring data integrity across visits.
