WORK HISTORY
Biotech Engineer - Machine Learning - Neuroprosthetics @Houston Methodist
Houston, TX, US
Designed and deployed machine learning models to predict cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow from multimodal biosignals (EEG, ECG, PPG, respiration), using advanced feature engineering and regularized regression to drive clinical insight. Built and trained LSTM networks to decode motor, sensory, and autonomic activity from spinal cord signals, supporting next-generation brain–computer interface (BCI) development. Scaled analysis pipelines for large neural datasets from freely moving primates to study neural adaptation and continual learning across behavioral contexts. Leveraged foundation models and diffusion-based architectures to reconstruct and interpret visual perception from invasive neural recordings. Developed an integrated hardware–software platform enabling two clinical trials for non-invasive neuromodulation in stroke rehabilitation. Authored six IRB protocols and contributed to multiple NIH, DoD, and ARPA-H proposals, translating research concepts into actionable technology roadmaps. Co-inventor on two patent-pending technologies for non-invasive monitoring of brain health.
