ABOUT ANTOINETTE GODWIN-COLE
As a Behavior Specialist at Community Support Services (CSS) since Nov 2022, I observe, assess, and intervene in client behavior problems and staff management of these problems. I collaborate with the psychologist to develop and implement appropriate behavior management plans, and train and supervise staff on how to effectively execute them. I have a MS in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I gained theoretical and practical knowledge of the principles and techniques of behavior analysis. I also have 4+ years of experience in providing direct and group services for clients with autism and other developmental disorders, using discrete trial teaching and natural environmental teaching. I have successfully conducted preference assessments, functional behavior assessments, functional analyses, and the assessment of basic learning and language skills. I have also contributed to case management, parent training, and protocol creation in partnership with supervising behavior analysts. My core competencies include supervisory skills, time management, team building, and communication skills. I am passionate about applying behavior analysis to improve the quality of life of individuals and families, and I am motivated by the positive outcomes and feedback that I receive from my clients and colleagues. My goal is to continue to grow as a behavior specialist and to learn from the best practices and research in the field.
