I served as extension of clients’ finance and accounting departments, collaborating to manage a suite of special projects and positioning clients optimally to deliver against their strategic business objectives. Some of my additional contributions include: Served as Interim Manager of Accounting & Reporting for Chicago Teachers Pension Fund; collaborated with the CFO to integrate a new ERP and transform staffing, CAFR, reporting, budgeting, and closing processes. Acted as Interim Controller for Chicago Architecture Center and 4S Bay Partners; oversaw all accounting and finance operations to maintain a healthy financial position. Defined business requirements to ensure compliance with an FDIC mandate for BMO Harris Bank; identified financial source systems to support data transformation efforts using agile methodologies. Overhauled accounts receivable and end-of-year reconciliation processes for Rand McNally. Leveraged Microsoft FRx Report Designer, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, and PN3 Payables to improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. Optimized expense/vendor reporting and forecasting procedures for Coveris Advanced Coatings’ entire portfolio of 9 manufacturing plants. Processed insurance claims and improved end-of-month reporting for Walgreens; reconciled insurance expenses for all sites, groups, programs, and divisions.
