My role at Prime Air is to lead the Materials and Processes selection and development for the Prime Air autonomous delivery drone vehicle, as well as set up the framework and tenants for the M&P team for the organization, since I was the first M&P Engineer on the team. Our team is growing! In this role, I test and develop materials and manufacturing processes, work with outside suppliers, develop material characterization and allowables programs, specifications, requirements and qualifications, and work closely with design, stress, manufacturing and quality teams. In addition, I am assisting in the development of the structural certification plan to provide to the FAA, and various processes of the Quality Management System, Configuration Management, and Document Release and Revision controls. I also previously managed 2-3 engineers in this role as well as my normal engineering duties.
