Medical Affairs | Rare Diseases | Translational Science | Patient-Centered StrategyAs a Medical Affairs professional with a strong academic background in cellular and translational research, I bring both scientific depth and strategic focus to everything I do. I currently work as a Medical Science Liaison at Chiesi in the field of Lipodystrophy, where I’ve built trusted KOL partnerships, led a national medical project, and contributed to patient identification efforts within a short time.Prior to this, I held cross-functional roles at AstraZeneca and Lundbeck, working across indications such as hematology, neurology, and CVRM. I’ve led medical launch readiness, organized advisory boards, driven KOL strategies, and contributed to international evidence generation and publications.What drives me?Translating science into clinical value – especially for patients with rare and severe diseases.My academic roots lie in rare disease research: I earned my PhD at Fraunhofer IZI with a focus on iPSC models, and during my postdoc at Johns Hopkins, I developed innovative therapeutic strategies for pediatric brain tumors. During this time, I also served as Co-President of the JHU Postdoctoral Association, advocating for over postdocs, driving institutional dialogue, and organizing national-level events – a role that shaped my leadership style and global outlook.
