The Olsen Lab investigates the pathogenic role of glia and gene-environment interactions in Parkinson’s disease, with the goal of developing new therapeutic targets for PD and other related disorders. As an undergraduate research assistant in the lab, I am working on an individual project using a drosophila model that plays a key role in the lab’s broader, ongoing research.
