ABOUT ANTHONY STURGEON
As the first fully dedicated Tech banker within TD Commercial Banking, I work with technology companies to help them scale via non-dilutive debt-financing, cash management, and cross border banking services as well as leveraging my network to connect them to trusted partners in the ecosystem. TD has been steadily growing our capabilities and portfolio of cash-burning, bootstrapped, VC and PE backed, and cashflow positive technology companies. We are always open to discuss how TD can help companies, entrepreneurs, their employees, and their investors so don\'t hesitate to reach out. Previously, I was proud to be part of EDC\'s inaugural Technology Sector Team, where I worked exclusively with companies in the Information, Communication and Technology Sector to help them scale domestically and internationally via financing, risk mitigation, knowledge and connection services. Prior to EDC, I spent six and a half years working as an economist at one of Canada\'s leading economic consulting firms, The Centre for Spatial Economics (C4SE)(now Stokes Economics), where I gained a deep understanding of the economic factors that Canadian companies face, both domestic and foreign. Throughout my career I have been guided by a strong belief in having a customer-first focus, where high quality service and customer satisfaction are paramount to success. In order to further develop my ability to glean strategic insights and add value to businesses, I completed my MBA at Queen\'s School of Business in 2016.
