About Anthony Brooks

Previously, I attended the University of Lynchburg to earn my bachelor\'s degree in accounting. During my education I was employed as a Tax and Auditing Intern at BrownEdwards CPA\'s. Having the privilege of working there I was able to advanced my knowledge in accounting principles and regulations. Initialy I started as a scanner and had moved up to preparing entity tax returns and as well as performing different types of audits, such as school activity funds (SAF), municipalities, higher education, and nonprofits.Presently, I work at Hantzmon Wiebel LLP, as a tax staff accountant, where I continue to expand my knowledge to prepare individual tax returns as well as business returns for clients. Additionally, I am continuing to expand my knowledge in tax legislation, tax planning with clients, and tax preparation. Also, I am working towards my CPA and CMA licenses to help me gain a greater understanding of my professionMoving forward, I plan to continue my professional career as an accountant and earn my CPA as well as the CMA. I also plan to attend graduate school to earn my MAcc. I would like to pursue a career in taxation and work for one of the big four accounting firms to master my craft.
