I am a Technical Consultant with over 22 years of experience working within the IT industry which has given me a very strong grounding in technical and commercial knowledge.My current role is as a Senior FinOps Solution Engineer.My previous role was as a Senior Technical Account Manager, responsible for providing technical account management, technical advisory, and relationship oversight for strategic channel accounts within EMEA on VMware Tanzu CloudHealth. Prior to this role I spent 14 years at various Solution Providers/VARs in a customer-facing role doing both Pre-sales and Implementation of Infrastructure Solutions. At MTI Technology I was a Solution Architect focused on pre-sales and delivery of enterprise solutions, primarily in Hyper-Converged Solutions (Dell EMC VxRail, VMware vSAN), Virtualisation (VMware) and Cloud (VMware Cloud on AWS). As part of my role at MTI I became a key technology evangelist for VMware and HCI.My experience working as a consultant has given me exposure to client-facing work, helping to provide me with an excellent understanding of supporting the needs of customers, aligning IT solutions to business challenges, working to tight deadlines, whilst enhancing my communication and analytical skills.The clients I have worked for vary from SMBs to big blue-chip corporations, covering numerous industries – Finance, Education, Retail, Healthcare, Government and Telecoms.The work has involved a wide spectrum of solutions ranging from simple hardware implementations through to capacity assessments, data centre consolidation, and solution design.My past and present roles have allowed me to diversify my knowledge of Enterprise Systems and Virtualisation.
