I am passionate about what I do because I promote and support each student’s growth and the joy of pursuing lifelong learning. I get so excited when one of my former students tells me how much of a difference I have made in his/her career and life. I have a broad skill set, applicable to any industry, with experience in student education, operations management; computer hardware, networks, software, and online design; emergency response and dispatch; equipment setup and take down for large-scale events; videotaping’ computer/network security management, and high-impact presentations/lectures. I also have a proven track record of managing computer systems and networks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining network safety, security, and efficiency. With the ability to engage students, I can discuss various topics related to computers, including creating and manipulating graphic imagery and designing the layout and visual elements for various collateral and magazines.    As a professor, I drive student engagement through diverse teaching methods, instructing on graphic art, Journalism, and design at St. John’s. I also teach on introduction to the use of computers to create and manipulate graphic imagery. I instruct on E-commerce and Virtual Enterprise at Kingsborough Community College. I support students in building knowledge and aptitude by encouraging respectful discussions and discuss the integration of writing, design, layout, typesetting, and the visual elements of brochures, newsletters, and magazines. I design strategies developers must consider when creating websites, deliver informative lectures, and use research materials.• At St. John’s, I facilitate 20-30 lecture sessions weekly in both small group and lecture hall type settings.• I maintain the website, containing schedule, syllabus, assignments, and links to relevant sites.• I supervise group discussions, encouraging all students to share opinions.• I partner with other educators to develop unique teaching strategies for use in classroom.• I invite guest speakers with in-depth knowledge of job opportunities in communications.
