About Anthony Orso

Hi, everyone! I\'m a data scientist with 7 YOE that spans many roles and disciplines, which allows me to access a wide knowledge base and set of specialized skills to solve business problems. My career begin in account management, brand strategy, and qualitative research in the advertising agency world. Over time, I pivoted to technology companies as a market research analyst and, ultimately, found my calling in data science and machine learning.I have significant subject matter expertise in media, advertising, and PR given my undergraduate degree in journalism and work experience in advertising/PR agencies and Kroger\'s media arm. Most importantly, I consider myself a lifelong student, as there is so much to know and master. I am eager to take on new challenges that develop and expand my skillset. Finally, I enrich company cultures with a commitment toward building equitable workplaces because of my lived experience as a gay and autistic person. I have launched two disability ERGs and worked on DEI committees across my career. I believe diversity of thought, expression, and experience benefits society and the workforce.

   IC3 data scientist on Edelman DXI\'s Predictive Intelligence team, the company\'s R&D business unit for media machine learning projects.• Marketing mix modeling with boosted decision trees, linear mixed algorithms, and other advanced ML models to quantify the impact of media on variables such as trust, reputation, and sales.• Generating talking points and message strategy for CEOs using census data APIs and Edelman surveys. Such projects involve data cleaning, beta regression, chi-squared independence testing, logistic regression, and data visualization.• Leading innovation projects to develop new, monetizable solutions. Such projects involve time-series analysis, deep-learning models (LSTMs and feed-forward neural nets), and Monte Carlo simulation.• Conversational dashboard development using the LangChain and agentic AI frameworks of software development.
