ABOUT ANTHONY CAMPIONE

I am a Canadian tax lawyer. My practice focuses on corporate tax, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and taxpayer representation. I have assisted with the Canadian tax aspects of a variety of transactions, including: • Brookfield Infrastructure in its C$13.5 billion acquisition of Inter Pipeline Ltd. • Newcrest Mining in its C$3.5 billion acquisition of Pretium Resources Inc. • Boyd Gaming Corporation in its US$170 million acquisition of Pala Interactive LLC and its subsidiaries • CapVest Partners LLP in its acquisition of Recochem from H.I.G. Capital • DIF Capital Partners in its acquisition of a majority interest in Diverso Energy Inc. • InstarAGF Asset Management Inc. in its acquisition of PRT Growing Services Ltd. from Triwest Capital Partners I have authored articles on a number of income tax matters, including corporate reorganizations and international tax. I am currently enrolled in level three of the In-Depth Tax Program and have completed the Tax Law for Lawyers course. At law school, I was on the Dean\'s Honor List and the recipient of the Thorsteinssons LLP Award in International Tax. I worked as a chartered accountant with a Big Four firm prior to attending law school.
