With over 28 years of experience at the Governor’s Institute, I have developed a deep expertise in strategic communications and public relations, particularly within the fields of Veterans’ services and Addiction Medicine. My work has involved crafting and implementing impactful communications programs that not only align with our mission but also resonate with diverse audiences across North Carolina.In the Veterans’ space, I have been instrumental in developing initiatives that enhance support for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF). Through collaborative efforts like the NC Governor’s Working Group (NCGWG) and the NC4Vets program, I have worked to amplify the voices of Veterans and ensure they have access to the resources and services they deserve.In the realm of Addiction Medicine, I have led efforts to promote innovative, evidence-based practices that empower healthcare professionals and support individuals on their journey to recovery. My work in this area has included coordinating conferences, creating educational materials, and driving public awareness campaigns that contribute to healthier communities.At the core of my approach is a commitment to fostering transparent and effective dialogue, both internally and in the public sphere.
