ABOUT ANTHONY MANSON
If you own a niche construction firm in Rail, Civil’s, Utilities, Highways, Nuclear and all of the similar sectors then chances are business is good, right- Tenders coming in thick and fast - Rates better than they have been in the past - Payments maybe getting a little better? This is great and a lot of companies are clearing up in this part of construction. But. Alot are that busy they have to a choice to make- Turn work down and keep quality up but reduce growth - Take on more work but struggle with the lack of good people in the industry and manage it all yourself. Great growth but taking on alot of risk you know you shouldn’t.eventually you just accept that this is how it is and tell yourself “it won’t be like this forever”. Only it will. It’ll become a habit and before long you’ll forget how things should be done properly and these things will start to creep in and become the norm- Cutting corners because of deadlines - Rushing through T&C’s and just signing anyway - Missing things in drawings / spec’s - Allowing your clients to demand discounts - not managing cashflow because of work load Eventually this goes one way, you losing the business. It’s not viable to keep making mistakes on projects, being took for a ride when clients exercise the contract you had no idea had all of these risks but signed anyway. Three ways to stop this and they all start by getting in touch with me and the team: P.S - i bet you didn’t ever think that all of this work could be done by us but the bill could be added to your bids and you get a free service by default. Think about it and it’ll all fall into place. You’ll kick yourself for struggling all those years and thinking if the money that should be in your bank and not somebody elses.
