As a life long wrestler, this quote from Cael Sanderson epitomizes the way I think about things,\"Unless you continually work, evolve and innovate, you\'ll learn a quick and painful lesson from someone who has.\"Cuurrently, I am the Director of Sports Sales and Development for the Janesville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. This is newly created position so it is evolving daily.My previous role was the Executive Director of Athletics, Wellness, and Recreation for Cuyahoga Community College, Ohio\'s oldest and largest community college. MY ROLEAs the Director of Sports Sales and Development, I drive economic growth in Janesville by attracting and hosting sporting events that benefit the local hospitality industry. I am collaborating with stakeholders and management to secure and provide access. The cultivation of relationships is a key to success in this new role.In my time at Cuyahoga Community College, I: Created the organization\'s mission, vision, structure, personnel roles and responsibilities, infrastructure, and procedures to run competitive athletic programs for the college. Managed an overall operating budget of over and oversaw and collaborated on the execution of an over scholarship budget. Spearheaded the addition of new staff, including coaches and trainers, to support our student-athletes in training and game day execution. ABOUT ME With business, communications, and education degrees, I have worked in middle and high schools, four-year universities, and community college institutions. Athletics has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a student-athlete and a Hall of Famer, I understand the value of providing students leadership, mentorship, and academic support. My energy comes from helping teams and people reach success- however defined. I have developed solid methods and approaches in leadership and processes to reach collective and individual goals. I take very seriously the responsibility to manage programs and funds that optimize opportunity. I have a track record of optimizing budgets across resources, equipment, and technology.
