Identifies project requirements; analyzes operations; determines project scope; documents results, presents findings, and instructs operations to other staff and station personnel.Program planning support work with the Program Manager, Team Leaders and Station Budget Office (SBO) Field Staff in issues of budget development, coordination/tracking, and requisitions and purchasing/procurement of supplies and equipment. Participates in the annual initial workplan process and developing the annual budget, tracking and providing information on costs, and reviewing for consistency, accuracy, and procedural/reporting requirements. Maintains control records and follow-up measures on incoming correspondence and action documents to ensure prompt handling. Maintains tracking logs, action items, manages administrative suspense items and transaction records. Incumbent independently plans and follows through on commitments and requests made by the supervisor and other professional staff. Is expected to organize own work to move from one assignment to another without instructions, following established procedures, and giving consideration to relative priorities and urgent requests. Assists with the gathering and reporting of attainments and project reports, as well as other duties in support of FS requirements. Advises on procedural and documentation requirements for research plans, annual progress reports and cooperative agreements and grants.
