About Anthony Young

With nearly seven years of experience in leading and growing CDFIs and other economic development organizations, I am passionate about creating and supporting entrepreneurial ecosystems that foster innovation, inclusion, and impact. As the President of Southern Bancorp Community Partners, I oversee the strategic direction, operations, and partnerships of a mission-driven CDFI that provides capital, credit, and financial services to underserved markets in Arkansas and Mississippi. My core competencies include executive leadership, strategic management, cross-sector finance, and developmental lending. I have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, such as entrepreneurs, investors, lenders, foundations, and government agencies, to identify and provide solutions for the inequities and gaps in the capital access market. I also have a strong background in developing and implementing lending programs, policies, and procedures that align with the needs and goals of the communities and businesses we serve. My mission is to empower and enable entrepreneurs and communities to achieve their full potential and economic well-being.
