Anthony Yater, LPC-MHSP, is the Chief Operating Officer & Head of Clinical Initiatives at Ascend Psychological Service. He is passionate about creative positive change and opening paths for individuals to seek help. For more than 15 years, Anthony has helped create spaces of safety and support through providing therapy and supervising programs that provided care for those in the criminal justice system, school system, low income families, secure housing and income for the homeless, in need of general therapy services, maternal mental health, and women with children struggling with addiction. He has worked in non-profit, residential, PHP/IOP, hospital, and integrated care settings.Anthony has served in executive behavioral health leadership for the majority of his mental health career. In these roles he has built cohesive teams and oversaw successful service launches. His expertise in transforming business processes into quality patient experiences make him an invaluable addition.Anthony received his MA in Counseling Psychology from Trevecca Nazarene University. He completed a thesis on creating a treatment survival analysis of patients in a co-occurring grant funded treatment program.
