ABOUT ANTHONY WINGHAM

As a driven and passionate entrepreneur, I have consistently sought opportunities to enhance my skills and knowledge, recognizing the value of hard work and dedication in achieving success. My entrepreneurial journey began in my youth, managing paper routes, and eventually founding a successful tile installation business. My extensive experience in the hospitality industry honed my managerial skills, ensuring efficient food and beverage order processing, well-run kitchen operations, and exceptional customer service.Academically, I pursued project management and business management at BCIT, UBC, and UVIC. I also received a Project Administration certificate from Royal Roads University, which further strengthened my project management foundation. To expand my business and marketing knowledge, I completed the Jelly Academy and the Level 1 Canadian Marketing Association program. I also attended the executive education program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, gaining valuable insights into strategy, operations, marketing, and finance.Currently, I am focused on marketing and expanding NuezAcres.ca, Canada’s only Indigenous pecan oil waterless beauty line, with plans to grow across the U.S. market. Through my apparel company, Metisprint.ca, I connect with the Métis Nation to share our rich cultural heritage through sustainable and customizable designs.I’ve stepped up to volunteer and lead my local Métis community as the President of the Waceya Métis Society, a chartered MNBC community. This role allows me to work directly with citizens, strengthening cultural connections and supporting community-driven initiatives. I serve on several boards including the BC Indigenous Housing Board, the MNBC Métis Business Advisory Board, and the NACCA Indigenous Youth Business Advisory Council. I also sit on the Board of Trade Advisory Committee, where I share insight and time to help shape inclusive and forward-thinking business development.I’ve also started a new path teaching digital literacy classes to help close the digital divide—especially for older adults and vulnerable populations—so they have the tools and confidence to navigate today\'s fast-changing digital landscape. As a speaker with Connected North, I regularly engage with Indigenous youth in grades 7–12 across Canada, sharing my journey and sparking inspiration through interactive educational sessions. I’m always looking to collaborate with individuals and organizations committed to Indigenous culture, sustainability, innovation, and community impact. Let’s connect and grow together.
