As a State of Tennessee Human Resources Intern, I provided hands-on support in a fast-paced healthcare environment by assisting with various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. I collaborated with HR staff to screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and manage personnel files in accordance with state policies and healthcare regulations. I also contribute to improving internal processes by maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with training logistics, and ensuring policy updates were effectively communicated. This role strengthened my understanding of public sector HR practices and deepened my ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
