About Anthony Schinella
Who am I? I\'m a suburban father and husband, award-winning journalist and radio broadcaster, political blogger, online and print publisher, and musician. I am a proven writer and editor with strong multi-media skills, a record of driving audience growth, and leading teams of content creators working in different formats. After stints in retail, politics, and sales, I ventured into community journalism and broadcasting decades ago and never looked back. I enjoy talking to people and hearing about their thoughts, dreams and hopes for the future. I also love producing and editing videos and taking photos, marketing, and promoting the companies and organizations I work for. My personal interests include playing softball, hiking, devouring nonfiction books (media and political history, especially), watching movies, playing games with my children, and noodling in my home studio, where I create music podcast-mix tapes while listening to all kinds of music. Writing editor for 14 New Hampshire Patch news and community websites covering 14 cities and towns. Cover news throughout Concord, Nashua, and the state, producing numerous posts per day. Since returning in April 2019, I have won dozens New Hampshire Press Association awards for investigatory stories, crime and courts, video news and features, spot news reports and photography, and entertainment reporting, and third for Journalist of the Year in 2021 (for 2020 coverage). Patch sites in New Hampshire consistently obtain 1 million to 1.4 million page views per month. In late 2022, I was made a senior local editor, assisting in the supervisory duties of the Rhode Island local editor. I\'ve included more information about my role at Patch below.
