ABOUT ANTHONY HUME

Positive action on climate change and sustainability is a must for organisations. High performing organisations in this area integrate decisions on climate change and sustainability issues into both strategic and everyday decisions. The challenges facing organisations are numerous and solutions rarely come ‘off the shelf ’. Organisations need to know they are making the right choices at the right time, from emissions reduction and mitigation, to assessing options to deal with long-term risks posed by climate change. Having worked with hundreds of organisations globally, across many sectors, I have seen the common success factors and that small shifts lead to significant improvements. In a warming world, an informed decision-making process for organisation strategy is increasingly about needing a new type of leadership and attitude to meet challenges. This is true especially for organisations working with diverse stakeholder needs, extended supply chains and developing customer expectations for sustainability credentials.Specialties: • Climate change mitigation• Climate change risk assessment• GHG emissions measurement, auditing and verification• Climate change and integrated reporting• Sustainability strategy development• Stakeholder support for climate change and sustainability • Leadership development to enhance performance on climate change and sustainability
