Duties include but are not limited to: • Manages the CHA Emergency Operations Center.• Oversees the entire security operations of all CHA sites and consistently ensures the highest level of security is being provided.• Briefs senior management daily, and prepares and presents safety and security initiatives at CHA meetings• Oversees security cameras throughout the Chicago; manages a 7 million dollar maintenance agreement.• Manages and negotiated 8 million dollar Intergovernmental agreement with the CHA and Chicago Police Department.• Ensures all procedures provide coherent, efficient and complete solutions for all site security needs.• Stays abreast all security incidents, and ensures proper documentation is completed.• Serves as CHA’s primary point of contact and liaison between various city agencies, Alderman, FBI and Chicago Police Department.• Advises in all issues respective to the security of the site affecting both the residents and employees.• Maintains and updates the security teams’ Emergency Procedures Manual as needed, including Emergency Preparedness plans for security situations which include fires, natural disasters, terror attacks, etc.• Continually updates and/or creates post orders as well as security policies & procedures.• Assesses site’s training needs and conducts additional training sessions when and where necessary.• Trains new security staff on post orders, site specific policies & procedures as well as current company policies and procedures.• Monitors the greater community, both site specific and surrounding areas for potential threats.• Takes initiative to enhance all aspects of security; procedures, training, automation tools, etc.
