Team leader responsible for the Data Management function within a developing receipt harvesting business. • Design, enhance and maintain ETL processes via Hadoop, Snowflake & Alteryx required to produce 60+ data sets for client deliverables. • Coordinate all production activity and enhancements across Product, Operations and Engineering teams. o Consult internal clients on new product requests, providing technical guidance, feasibility and prioritization. o Develop documentation and user stories for Data Engineering/Development teams. o Coordinate promotion of enhancements from Development/UAT to Production. • Manage relationships with external data vendors, coordinating operational activities, data investigations and enhancements. • Support internal clients with understanding of all aspects of the data sets through documentation, data flow diagrams and training. • Continuously develop, test and implement processing improvements to maintain and improve cycle times. o Successfully reduced delivery time from 32 days to 18 days. o Developed new system processes to reduce manual efforts where standardization was available allowing for fewer human errors and less hand offs during data cycle as part of our effort to reduce cycle time and improve quality. • Implemented protocol to streamline operational workflows, data investigations and preventative quality checks. o Identified and standardized the most important 10 quality checks for the data management team to do prior to data release, resulting in errors being detected and corrected prior to client delivery.
