ABOUT ANTHONY NELSON
For the better part of 2 decades I have worked in customer contact center management in various roles from front line leadership and management to data analytics. In a change that started with my leader taking some time off due to the arrival of her new baby girl and ended with her returning to a different role, I found my passion for strategy and business process improvement. I\'ve had to learn new skills to help gain the trust of our team when they didn\'t report directly to me and drive a revolution on our team by becoming the first remote worker in our team. This paved the way for others to join virtually. While I was remote from my team I was not remote from the operation. I leveraged my closer connection with the operations team to help drive the goals of the broader organization. In my time away from the office I am passionate about giving back to my community. I have served as a board member for the local United Way, spent 6 years on the local Relay for life Committee, leading 2 years as the event chair, and a volunteer for Spinderella, a local women\'s only bike event that raises money for local non-profit organizations. In all things I try to set the right example for my 5 children. Of all the jobs and roles I have held, the title of Dad is the one that holds the closest place in my heart and is the reason I do everything I do.
