About Anthony Matusik
From running my own woodworking side business, where I’ve generated over in revenue, to interning at UConn Health in their Finance and Accounting Department, I’ve been able to build real-world experience in managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and handling daily financial tasks. As a sophomore at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, I am currently double majoring in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Economics, pursuing a career in investment banking. Outside the classroom, I serve as Treasurer of the Syracuse Ski Club, which has over 200 active members, and I am also involved in both the Private Equity Club and Investment Club. Running a side business taught me how to manage operations, solve problems on the fly, and maintain a strong work ethic. Those same skills carry over into my academic, professional, and athletic experiences, including competing on my club ski team’s varsity alpine racing roster. Ski racing has taught me to think critically, adapt strategies in real-time, and perform under pressure. Just like on the racecourse, where speed and precision are key, I take a fast and effective approach to problem-solving and driving results.
