About Anthony

I have a strong passion for social justice specifically with communities of color. As a student affairs professional, I aspire to develop and engage students in conversations about race and its intersections, hopefully building upon knowledge, and preparing students to enter a diverse work environment. My passion stems from my experience as a Cambodian American, an underrepresented population amongst an already marginalized racial group.    Position at Rhode Island College and mobile advisor 2022-Present - Positioned at the University of Rhode Island and mobile advisor 20••••22 • Aid in the retention of 350 College Crusaders from low-income and underrepresented backgrounds at the University of Rhode Island, primarily assisting the successful transition of 100 first-year students • Assist students with administrative processes such as registration for term courses, initial degree planning, and educational financing • Act as a liaison between students and University departments • Plan and implement skills-based programming such as writing, test-taking, time management, financial literacy, and job search skills • Review and approve requests for emergency aid
