The GQ Program is a dedicated mentorship initiative focused on empowering youth and families in underserved neighborhoods. Our mission is to mentor, guide, and teach young men especially boys of color how to give back to their communities and build a positive legacy.Today’s youth are growing up in environments where consistent guidance and support are often lacking. Without access to strong, positive role models, many young men fall into harmful cycles of poverty, delinquency, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, academic failure, and incarceration. These challenges are particularly acute for African American and Hispanic boys, who face systemic barriers that limit their opportunities and potential.Mentorship is a proven, evidence-based strategy for improving youth outcomes. In urban areas, 72% of students are considered at risk of dropping out of school, and 40% live in poverty. Many of these youth lack the resources, encouragement, and community support they need to succeed.The GQ Program exists to change the narrative. Through intentional mentoring relationships, life skills training, and community engagement, we aim to equip young men with the tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that with the right guidance, these young leaders can rise above their circumstances and become the change-makers their communities need.
