Responsibilities- Development of strategies for optimising network performance and ensuring sufficient capacity to meet present and future needs- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders, to ensure seamless implementation of network plans- Driving the creation of the processes and implementation of the company’s surveying, design and installation programme.Skills- Ability to plan and design within set budgets and targets- Providing estimates on equipment, labour and other associated expenses- Conducting on-site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and identify potential challenges- Ability to generate and maintain accurate documentation including fibre allocation/splicing diagrams, straight line drawings and as-built documentation- Awarded Fibre Hero in Q1 2023 – acknowledgement from my peers for contributions above and beyond in the workplace.Knowledge- Knowledge in civils and cable planning methodologies and design- Proficient in using various design and office software, such as QGIS, Word, Excel, Visio and BT Openreach portal- Understanding of the Electronics Communications Code and the regulations that need to be adhered to in planning and design.
