I am the Founder/CEO of Autism Power, a nonprofit organization that provides innovative employment opportunities to people on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities. We are going from research to reality; ending isolation using cutting edge technology to teach vocational skills for meaningful and self-supporting employment, building self-esteem and creating social engagement opportunities. Our specialized assessment tool focuses on the wants, needs and desires of each person so they get the exact supports they need. I am a passionate entrepreneur and I created Autism Power in honor of my beautiful daughters, Carmen and Mia. Carmen is on the autism spectrum and has a rare condition 2Q37 deletion syndrome. I want Carmen and every person with a disability to have employment opportunities that are meaningful, engaging and fun. That is the POWER in Autism Power.
